Strong Nordic Voice in Europe

It is a core ambition of Nordenergi to underpin the internal energy market and ensure that free flow of electricity is ensured across Europe.

The Nordic region is often considered a beacon for regional cooperation in the field of electricity. Electricity flows freely across borders in the Nordic market place and the different electricity mixes in the Nordic region complements eachother to ensure cheap, reliable and green electricity to Nordic consumers.

When wind conditions are good, electricity is exported from Denmark to the other Nordic Countries. When wind conditions are bad, especially hydropower is scaled up to compensate.

But the Nordic electricity system only works with well-functioning markets and strong cooperation among TSOs and regulators. Electricity needs to flow freely across borders – something that is still not the case in the rest of Europe.

It is therefore a core ambition of Nordenergi to underpin the internal energy market and ensure that free flow of electricity is ensured across Europe.
